Shannon Smith brings more than two decades of healthcare experience to her role as Office Manager at Premier Pain Treatment Institute. With 20 years of expertise in medical billing and coding, including 16 years dedicated specifically to pain management, she has developed a deep understanding of the operational and administrative processes that help healthcare organizations run efficiently. Her coding certification and extensive industry knowledge make her an invaluable resource for both staff and patients. In addition to her other responsibilities, Shannon oversees healthcare provider credentialing and insurance network contracts, helping ensure providers are properly credentialed and enrolled with insurance plans while supporting the organization’s continued growth.  

Throughout her career, Shannon has successfully navigated the many changes that come with a growing medical practice. Having been part of significant transitions, including electronic medical record and billing system implementations, she has consistently demonstrated adaptability, resilience, and a commitment to ensuring smooth operations. Her experience provides a strong foundation for supporting both the clinical and administrative teams at PPTI.

Shannon believes that effective leadership starts with leading by example. She takes pride in sharing her knowledge, mentoring team members, and helping others develop the skills they need to succeed. She values the collaborative culture at Premier Pain and appreciates working alongside colleagues she respects and enjoys, creating an environment where teamwork and mutual support thrive.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her two children and traveling whenever she has the opportunity to explore new places and experiences.
