April Egbert, DNP, APRN, Recently Celebrated Attaining her Doctorate in Nursing Practice and Seventh Anniversary at Premier Pain Treatment Institute

 

April Egbert, DNP, APRN, stands at a pivotal moment in her career, celebrating not only the attainment of her doctoral degree but also seven years of dedicated service at Premier Pain Treatment Institute. Her journey is a testament to resilience, passion, and unwavering commitment to patient care and professional growth.

April’s journey in healthcare commenced with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the esteemed University of Cincinnati. This foundational education ignited her passion for patient care, fostering empathy and collaboration within interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Driven by a desire to advance nursing and alleviate the suffering of chronic pain patients, April pursued dual master’s degrees in nursing education and nurse practitioner studies. Armed with academic excellence and a thirst for knowledge, she set out to transform healthcare practices and enhance patient outcomes.

Reflecting on her journey to earning her doctorate, April remarks, “The pursuit of a Doctoral degree has always been a dream of mine.” She underscores her deep-rooted passion for patient care and research, which fueled her academic endeavors. April attributes her success to the unwavering support of her family, colleagues, and the PPTI community, who cheered her through challenging times and celebrated her victories.

Dr. Michael Danko, PPTI’s lead physician and founder, commends April’s extraordinary professional growth and during her time at PPTI. “April has demonstrated incredible professional growth during her 7+ years at PPTI,” he notes. “She is one of the hardest working people that I know and she continues to impress me with her thirst for knowledge.”

April’s contributions to PPTI have been manifold, driving the practice’s growth and fostering a culture of excellence. As a key member of the leadership team, she has played a pivotal role in shaping PPTI’s vision and service delivery.

April’s doctoral project focused on patient satisfaction and research, reflecting her commitment to enhancing the patient experience and advancing pain management practices. “I have a passion for patient satisfaction and research,” she shares. Through her academic pursuits, April strengthened her ability to understand and enact research studies, driving positive change within the practice and the broader healthcare community.

Dr. Danko underscores April’s exceptional patient care, emphasizing her pivotal role in providing first-rate care to PPTI patients. “Her patient care is also first-rate, and our PPTI patients are lucky to have her caring for them!” he remarks proudly.
